Following concerns raised at the 2008 Annual General Meeting a guide to GTS communications was felt appropriate. This section details the current communication processes.
www.golftourismscotland.com is the main portal to everything that is happening within the organisation and features all the reports, presentations, downloads, contact details and membership information required. It is updated on a regular basis with any documentation received. We suggest you bookmark the site and visit it once a week.
This is driven by a content management system and is maintained entirely by the membership themselves. Members can add information, contacts, news, offers, images, Google map and even job vacancies. The membership entry links straight back to the member's website for any visitor wishing further information and can also be optimised for search engines. Username and password can be requested from info@golftourismscotland.com.
Members can Log In here to the GTS Members' Database.
These are emailed on a regular basis with specific updates and information. You can subscribe from the website or amend your details from the site or on any of the emails you are sent. ConstantContact was used for both the nominations process and voting for the 2008 Annual Awards. It is also used for questionnaires on key business issues. We recommend that you configure your inbox not to treat these as spam.
GTS BlogThe latest addition to the website is the blog. For the uninitiated this is a web diary of latest news and information that can be posted directly to your inbox (if your using Outlook 2007) or into your Favourites on your browser if you're not. This blog can be used by members to respond to articles published and open debate. We ask you to do so. The blog also features any news that the members wish to publicise: new offers, products, personnel or events. To subscribe click here.
Google Groups is used by the Board members to access minutes, reports, agendas and other publications online via a log in. Consideration is being given to opening this service fully up to the membership.
GTS printed a newsletter for Expo 2008 which was distributed to the wider hospitality industry as well. It is not the Board's current plan to produce paper newsletters on a frequent basis, but occasional issues will be created.
With the launch of the new website a Facebook page has been created which will automatically feature news and images and information one vents for the increasing number of members using Facebook pages. You can Become a Fan of GTS on Facebook by clicking on the link.
Visit the keep in Touch page or even better send the link for the page to your suppliers and keep them up to date with GTS activities.
